Certainly, as your web site's requirements grow you can always order
additional storage space and bandwidth. Currently storage and
bandwidth is sold in seperate ' blocks '. Options and pricing on
each is available in the Services section of our site.
All current hosting and option prices are subject to change.
It is very important to note that over 90% of all web sites
actually utilize less than 100mb of storage space, therfore,
you may find you will not need extra space, depending on what
you have in mind for your web site, but it is available if required.

search for available domain names ?
You can search for available domain names using our domain search engine,
or from any registrar
directly using the InterNIC web site.

What happens if I exceed my bandwidth quota for the month ?
Considering we offer very substantial bandwidth useage per month,
it is safe to say, you may never exceed your quota, but in the unlikely
event that you do exceed your bandwidth quota for any given month,
we currently charge $1.50 per gigabyte for bandwidth useage over
your designated monthly quota.

How does registering and running a web site work ?
When you place a web hosting order with i8k.com, you
will be asked to provide the domain name of your web site.
If you do not have a domain name, you can search for one
using our domain search engine, and then submit the domain
with your order. If the domain you submit is not registered, we submit a
payment request to you for $10.50 which pays one year of registration,
and we also configure your domain for useage with your account.
(our registration fee is much cheaper than many registrar services)
Once you receive your account notification email, you simply
enter the name servers we provide you with into the name server
section of your domain name at your domains registrar.
(we do this for you if you purchase the domain through us.)
This process generally takes 24-48 hours to propogate,
which is the time it takes before you can actually access http://yourdomain.com
The order process takes much less than that, generally 2-4 hours. You can
access your hosting account as soon as you receive the
account notification email containing your login and password.

After ordering, when will my web site be available on the internet ?
If you already have a domain name, simply include it with your order.
If you have not registered a domain name, it is best to purchase one
before ordering, and submit it with your order. Your order is processed
within 24 hours and you will receive an email notice which includes your
account information. You can then immediately access your hosting
account and begin creating your web site. Generally, your web site
will be accessible by using your domain name within 24-48 hours.

Can i8k.com
also register my domain name for me ?
Yes, we do offer registration services, however there is
a one time $10.00 fee per domain name for doing so,
and of course the $15.00 per year domain registration
fee for ownership of your domain name. The $10.00 fee
is non refundable, you must make sure that the domain
you wish to have registered is not already taken.

How do I transfer files to my

Files can be transferred to the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP).
CuteFTP is VERY easy to use, if you prefer to use an FTP client.
You also have a built in File Manager in your Control Panel that allows

and folders to and from your web site, directly from your web browser.

We setup each hosting account with the ability to add 100 users.
If you need to add more than 100 users, you can simply request for this
number to be increased. There is no limit to the amount of users your
site can support via email, ftp, telnet, ssh, or web.

Yes, of course, you can use your account for commercial
purposes.
Under our Terms of service agreement, you cannot however
